Dayton, Ohio – At Millat Industries, investing in advanced manufacturing means investing in people. As the manufacturing industry continues to evolve, the company remains committed to developing the next generation of skilled associates through meaningful education partnerships and hands-on career development opportunities.

Building on the success of its long-standing internship program with local high schools and career technology centers, Millat Industries is proud to announce the launch of its new Registered Apprenticeship Program, providing associates with an additional pathway to develop highly specialized skills through classroom education and on-the-job training.

For several years, Millat Industries has partnered with area high schools to provide CTC students with valuable internship opportunities that bridge classroom learning with real-world manufacturing experience. Students gain exposure to advanced CNC machining, quality systems, engineering, maintenance, and other manufacturing operations while working alongside experienced professionals. These internships allow students to explore rewarding careers in manufacturing while developing the technical and professional skills needed for long-term success. Currently, Millat Industries has five interns and co-ops from local high schools and universities.

Continuing that commitment to workforce development, Millat Industries recently launched its Department of Labor (DOL) Registered Apprenticeship Program in partnership with Sinclair Community College. The program combines 100% company-paid classroom instruction through Sinclair with extensive on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced mentors, allowing apprentices to earn nationally recognized credentials while developing the advanced skills required in today’s precision manufacturing environment. Apprentices will receive paid, hands-on experience while progressing through a clearly defined career pathway that prepares them for long-term success within the organization.

Marie Davis, DOL Industry Partnership Coordinator – Sinclair Community College, said, “In the Fall 2026 semester, Millat Industries has partnered with Sinclair’s Work-based Learning – Registered Apprenticeship program to train three (3) new or current employees. This initiative is designed to create meaningful career pathways within the company and support long-term workforce development. Sinclair is proud to collaborate with Millat Industries on this exciting new endeavor. We appreciate their continued support of Sinclair Community College!”

These workforce development initiatives reflect Millat Industries’ ongoing commitment to strengthening the regional manufacturing workforce while creating meaningful career opportunities for students and associates alike. By partnering with local educational institutions and investing in structured training programs, the company is helping ensure the next generation of skilled manufacturing professionals is prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
